"Zhu Zen (master)" is a collaboration between long-time Seattle DJs AJ Sorbello (aka Gruv1) and Michael Manahan. Gruv1 has built his reputation on a distinct blend of Future and Bass House. Underneath his unique sound are the rolling bass lines and nu-jack beats of Speed Garage, an early influence. Manahan has been a pioneer in the Seattle house scene for over 20 years. Not only as a prolific DJ, but also as a club owner and event promoter.

Manahan is a co-owner of Starborne Shows, Starborne Sound, and Re-bar (Theatre / Nightclub). He is the lead producer at Cascadia (NW Arts and Music Festival), producing partner of the world famous Decibel Festival, lead producer of the Starborne Electronic Stage at Seattle Hempfest , co-producer of Photosynthesis Festival (2011-2014), and co-creator/lead producer of the Oracle Gatherings (2000-2009).
